The Pattern 146 Extraction Forceps (F26 series) is indicated for lower molars (cowhorn pattern). Beak geometry is the whole point of a forceps pattern: the beaks are contoured to seat below the cemento-enamel junction and grip root rather than crown, so extraction force is transmitted to the root surface and the risk of crown fracture during delivery is reduced.
- Beak contour and angulation matched to lower molars (cowhorn pattern)
- Serrated beak surfaces grip the root surface securely under load
- Precision box joint keeps the beaks aligned through years of extraction work
- Forged surgical-grade stainless steel, hardened for strength at the joint
- Autoclavable at 134?C; compatible with standard surgical reprocessing
- Satin finish reduces glare and makes residue visible at inspection
- Pattern number 146 laser-marked for fast identification on the tray
